We built Mindset because we couldn't stop scrolling

As co-founders, we — Huseyn Gurbanli and Emin Ahmadov — were both struggling with the same problem: phone addiction. We were distracted during work. We were distracted during school, while studying. We'd pick up our phones for "just a second" and lose an hour. We tried willpower. We tried app timers. Nothing worked.

So we decided to build something that would actually enforce focus — not suggest it. Mindset was born from our own frustration. We wanted a tool that would make distractions physically impossible when we needed to concentrate. And we wanted it to be a shared experience, not a solo one.

That's why Rooms exist. App blocking shouldn't be limited to a solo experience. Focus is more powerful when it's shared. When your friends or teammates are all locked in together, you don't want to be the one who breaks. That mutual accountability is what makes Mindset different.

We built Mindset for ourselves first. Then we realized it could benefit everyone — schools, workplaces, and anyone fighting for their attention in a world designed to steal it. This is how we fight back: one enforced session at a time.
